Looking for where to eat in the centre of Zelenogradsk? Love tasty pizza and Italian food?
On a hot summer day, walking around Zelenogradsk as usual in search of beer and food, we came across Papasha Beppe. One of the pizzerias of the well-known chain sits right in the centre of the resort town. We were attracted by the large summer terrace with a view of the sea and the promenade, and we hurried there to take a table as soon as possible. It was busy, almost a full house. The administrator immediately warned us that we would have to wait a long time for hot dishes. But we were in no hurry.
After studying the menu carefully we ordered beer, juice, a tuna salad, salmon and tuna carpaccio and a pizza to take away. And while our order is being prepared, let’s run quickly through the menu :) Naturally, Papasha Beppe has a large range of pizza on thick crust, on thin crust and even Roman pizza. The main menu is all classics: starters and salads, soups, pasta, fish dishes, meat and poultry dishes, desserts. Offers made from local products deserve a special mention. For those looking for where to eat Baltic fish, Papasha Beppe has prepared a separate offer that includes: Baltic fish soup, Baltic pike-perch rillettes, fried sprat, arancini with pike-perch and, of course, the “Baltic” pizza.
*Menu prices are valid as of July 2024
The drinks were not brought quickly, and we waited a long time for the tuna salad and the tartare too, but we were not upset, since we had been warned that the staff could not cope with the load. But when the tuna salad arrived, it was time to be disappointed. The tuna had clearly been overcooked, it was dry and crumbly. We called the administrator, who responded promptly to our complaint, and within 10 minutes a new salad was in front of us. Below, in the 1st photo is the unsuccessful salad, in the 2nd photo — the corrected one.
The salmon and tuna tartare was definitely good, nothing superfluous: salmon, tuna, avocado, cucumber and a slice of lime. The delicate fish literally melted in the mouth. We ate very quickly and waited a while longer for our take-away pizza to be made. The total bill came to 2,200 ₽ and overall we were satisfied.
The “Papasha Beppe” pizzeria chain is quite popular in Kaliningrad and the region, so if you are planning dinner at one of them, especially on a Friday or Saturday evening, we recommend booking a table in advance.
